Our Story

Our founder Helen Rowell’s husband Mike passed away suddenly in March 2022. Helen was both surprised and concerned to learn that there was very little by way of local support groups for both her and her 4 year old son. From this Brightest Stars was born.

Our vision is to create a safe space for bereaved children and their families to meet one another, to share experiences and build friendships.

Our services include face to face meetings with other families sharing the same experience, counselling and days out. If there is something specific you feel we may be able to help you with please do get in touch. We hope these resources help children and adults on their bereavement journeys, regardless of what stage they are at.
